In this modern era, and that too in the middle of materialistic stream of life, in the heart of the wealthy and luxurious city of Manhattan in New York, the establishment of such a traditional Vaidik orthodox Gurukulam under the umbrella of Sri Sankaracharya is indeed praiseworthy.
The following of Varnashrama Dharma and the ascetic, celibate life of sanyasins has been established, and guided by the highly knowledgeable Swami Ramakrishnananda, who abiding in the tenets of yoga, has founded an exceptionally outstanding, commendable and courageous establishment.
In my opinion, this is a very special ashram, undoubtedly one-of-a-kind in the U.S. and possibly in the entire world. I was so profoundly happy and proud to visit this Vaidic institution. If we were able to likewise establish such revolutionary ashrams in every major city of United States to promote the Vaidic tradition, I have no doubt that the whole world would be different and that events would certainly take a better course.
All the praises and glories go to Swami Ramakrishnananda. His Holiness Swamiji has become a unique symbol of the rebirth of such traditions in the entire Western Hemisphere. I am confident that the respected Swami Ramakrishnananda will continue to receive more recognition, acknowledgements, reverences and praise from scholars and spiritual leaders. I pray to Sri Lord Ganesh to help Swami Ramakrishnananda to obtain the necessary energy, to protect his mission so that it may continue to prosper, and to guide Swamiji to succeed in all his preaching efforts. You will always be blessed by both Guru Maharaj and Bhagavan Mastaram Babaji Maharaj.
My first visit to this ashram has bridged the gap and connected two countries, Nepal and the United States, and two traditional Vaidic organizations, Galeswar Ashram and Vishwa Dharma Mandalam. This visit has also established a cordial Godly brotherhood and spiritual relationship among the Swamis of both the ashrams.
