Here is the book "Yoga - Union with Reality" before me. It has been written by Swami Ramakrishnananda. Ramakrishnananda is a hallowed name in the Ramakrishna Order, he being the direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and epitome of devotion. He was a great scholar, wrote many books, and he is called the Apostle of Sri Ramakrishna to the South. The new Ramakrishnananda has emulated many of the characteristics of the original Swami. I am very happy to write a note about his book. It is very well written, giving all the salient quotations from the Sanskrit originals, culled from the scriptures.
In a short compass he has brought out the salient points of the four classical Yogas.
He calls it the Integral Yoga, because he accepts all of them, and also the new ones advocated by later people. Thus he has included hatha, tantra, kundalini, mantra, kriya yogas. Giving in
a succinct way a gist of their teachings again with quotations from the scriptures. He is saturated with the ideas in Hinduism, Vedanta and Sri Ramakrishna. This is the only book which covers all the various aspects of yogas. It is a very worth while publication with 191 pages. My appreciation of the book and Swami Ramakrishnananda.
