Our hatha-yoga classes are taught according to the Vedic tradition.


The 90 minute sessions consist of yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation. Our main emphasis is on enjoying the practice and on awareness by becoming more conscious of our body and mind.

Classic hatha-yoga is non-competitive. It prepares the practitioner for dhyana or meditation. It rejuvenates the body and is beneficial to one's health.
Our yoga center is conveniently located in the East Village area of New York City, just minutes from the center of Manhattan.

Notes:

  • Our classes fit all levels of practice. No prior experience is necessary.
  • First 2 classes are free of charge.
  • No prior registration is needed; you can just come and join the class.
  • Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before the class begins.
  • Practice on an empty stomach: refrain from eating at least 2 hours before the class.
  • Wear comfortable and loose clothes.
  • Mats are available for practice. However, if you have your own mat, it is recommended to bring it. You may also bring a towel to cover the mat.
  • In case of physical injury, illness, pain or chronic problem, please consult with the instructor before attending the class.
  • Our classes are not intended for pregnant women.
